HOW IT WORKS
VIA is free to
farm workers who come to work or live in the Sonoma Valley. It is
provided by Vineyard Worker Services (VWS). VIA
provides secured Internet access to you and your family's medical
information. It features:
- Access to the information whenever and
wherever it is needed by you, your doctor or emergency medical
personnel.
- Improved continuity of your health
care.
- Reduced duplication of testing and
information collection.
The VIA system includes:
- A printable emergency medical card
- Secure and private
- Encrypted email account for private
communications with physicians or family - a permanent address for
Migrant Farm Workers.
Information
may be entered into the system by the user. Your doctor or clinic can
also enter important information, provided they have access to your user
name and password. The information is private and confidential.
No information is given to anyone without the owner's permission.
